Refelctions
This particular standard is based on digital citizenship being ethical. An assignment that I was tasked with early on was a paper focused on Internet Safety in a K-12 environment. This was a deep topic for me that I could discuss as one of the biggest fears that we would encounter was a student getting onto an inappropriate site. Making sure our firewall was updated was a constant job. Having a decent antivirus and anti-malware program was mandatory as well. While we couldn't block all the threats, we would always do our best to try. At the time in the Amite County School District there wasn't an actual class or trainingfor staff or students for discussions about cyber-bullying, malware, and being responsible on the Internet.

Often people think about teaching children about physical behavior, but often forget to talk about net etiquette and cyber bullying. Teachers do need to incorporate digital citizenship into their lesson so students can learn how to properly give credit when doing research as well. Teaching young students how to be ethical can be difficult because for some they just aren't able to process why certain things need to be done. As teachers, that has to be one of our daily goals.

Future Learning Goals
I was able to tell the teachers a few things in one on o ne scenarios, but that was the extent of it. I know it is something that many schools are requiring their staff and students to go through and over time, I'm sure many more will as well. I think it should be mandatory. I will definitely need to figure out a way to bring in ethical aspects into my teaching. I think this is a topic that is overlooked by many. Now that social media is at its highest point, more and more school are making an attempt to to more classes and training on being ethical online.
